DETAILS ON COLGATE RUGBY AND VISITING FOR FALL, 2021
This year we will be connecting with interested student athletes virtually and on campus. More high-level information is presented on this page, and on Colgate.edu. You are encouraged to learn more about Colgate, our program, and meet players and Coach David Chapman. Please contact us directly using the recruiting form above. We want to hear from student-athletes interested in what Colgate offers.
Due to COVID considerations and related limitations on tour sizes and gatherings of non-student groups, Colgate Men’s Rugby will not host a “recruiting weekend” as we had initially planned. We hope you’ll consider the following options for an on-campus or virtual visit:
1. On Campus
Interested students can do an official tour through the office of admissions. We recommend registering (https://www.colgate.edu/admission-aid/visit) as soon as possible as space is limited and tours are filling up quickly. We recommend touring around a home game weekend if possible (see schedule below). If availability does not meet your scheduling needs, we are happy to arrange a tour with a member of the team during your visit. Regardless of when you visit, we want to meet with you! To let us know you’re coming to visit or to request a tour with a player please contact us using the recruiting form above.
Colgate offers virtual admissions programs including virtual visits and information sessions. Please visit https://www.colgate.edu/admission-aid/visit to learn more and register.
Colgate Rugby, including Coach Chapman and our Men’s and Women’s student recruiting directors, routinely connect via Zoom and phone to talk about Colgate with prospective student athletes. Please complete a recruiting profile at the link above to initiate contact!
3. Colgate in Focus: A Diversity Open House
An October 16, 2021 virtual open house intended for high school seniors who identify as low-income, first-generation, or other historically excluded backgrounds who have overcome unique personal or structural challenges in their journey to pursue post-secondary education. The program provides students with a greater understanding of the Colgate experience by allowing them to meet current students, engage with faculty members, and learn more about the diversity of Colgate's student organizations. Please visit https://www.colgate.edu/admission-aid/visit/colgate-focus to learn more an register, and please complete a recruiting form using the link above.
