Colgate Women's Rugby

National Champions.
Student Athletes.
Family traditions.

Our women's team plays 15s and 7s  competitively in the National Collegiate Rugby League. They were the 2017 Champions in 7s, and have made several national tournament appearances since then.

Established in 1979, the Colgate Women's Rugby Club has had many  highly successful seasons and players over the years. In 2017, these ruggers won the national championship in NCR's 7s tournament, after already having three undefeated seasons leading up to it. The Spring of 2019 saw another national appearance, and Colgate ended up ranked sixth nationally. These women weren't done, though, and in the fall of 2019 had an undefeated 15s season and went on to place seventh in the national tournament. This success has translated on and off the pitch where many of our women earn internships at the NIH, achieve the Dean's List, and stay involved with the Colgate community.
